Far From The Crowds

The scene gave a wonderful sense of space. There was the mountain in the far distance. Dark clouds covered the sky. A few buildings can be seen below the mountain. The birds in foreground catch the eye.

Cable Cars Gong up to Mount Titlis

It was a great trip up to the mountains by cable car. The view was lovely. The point of view takes you towards the snow-covered slopes of Mount Titlis. The cable cars passed between fir trees and above a green meadow. There were a couple of cottages down below and a few Swiss cows too. We could hear the cow bells tingle. The scenery quickly transformed itself as the cable cars climbed to Titlis glacier where deep snow covered the landscape.

The colours were really nice. The white line of the beach stretched into the horizon. The sea was a sparkling shade of blue. The cloud formations were fascinating. In the foreground can be seen the walls of Bekal Fort.

Bus on Kariyankode Bridge

It was a picturesque scene. Kariyankode river was flowing quietly. White clouds covered much of the sky. There was a steady stream of vehicular traffic on the bridge. I noticed that the buses on the route were painted in eye-catching colours. I then waited for some time and clicked the shot when the pretty bus came in the frame. I composed the shot such that the eye is carried to the tree-lined end of the bridge.

Tribune – Uffizi Gallery

Location

The Tribuna is one of the major attractions in Uffizi Gallery, Florence. Visitors were not allowed to enter the room. We could however view the exhibits through a grill door.

Camera Info

I was using a Canon PowerShot S110 camera. Since I was not able to cover the entire area in one shot, I made a series of 4-5 images and merged them together in Photoshop. I used a wide aperture of f/2.0. Since the use of flash was prohibited, I employed an ISO of 1250.
