Oval Maidan is a popular ground for cricket, with several matches often being played at the same time. It is listed as a silent zone. Political and religious functions are therefore not permitted here.
It is located close to Churchgate station in Mumbai. On eastern side of Oval Maidan are the majestic 19th century Gothic buildings of University of Mumbai and Mumbai High Court. Towards the western side are Nariman Point and Mantralaya. Nariman Point was built on land reclaimed from Arabian Sea.
I used my Sony DSC-S750 camera for this shot. Aperture was f/7.6 at a shutter speed of 1/1600 sec. Focal length used was 11.6 mm.
