It was end of the day. The sun was going down to the horizon. It looked wonderful and had a pretty colour too. I framed it through the silhouettte of a gnarled tree.

Sea of Flood Waters

It had been raining for a few days in August. When I went out on my Honda Activa, there was water everywhere.  The fields were flooded. Water had covered the road. Traffic was immobilised. The sky was partly cloudy.  The clouds had a mackerel skin appearance.

I used my Sony Xperia ZR smartphone camera. Aperture was f/2.4. Shutter speed was 1/125 sec. ISO was at a low 40. I used the camera in vertical position to get the sky into the frame.

Red Wooden Bridge

The red bridge stood out against the greenery. The sun was directly overhead. There was bright sunshine as well as deep shadows. That made the conditions slightly difficult.  I had to make sure that I realistically captured the light and colour .

Sync With Nature

The sun was setting. But the light was still bright and I had to use a high shutter speed. At the same time, I had to light the shrub which filled half of the frame. Luckily, my Canon Speedlite 430 EX II flash has capability for high-speed sync which enables me to use the Speedlite at high shutter speeds. You can see the result in the photo below.
